City of Hope is leading cancer research and treatment institution. Its one-of-a-kind combination of research and treatment facilities allow it to speed breakthroughs from bench to bedside and save lives. But with a million causes to give to and a half a million cancer causes, City of Hope's powerful message can get lost in the clutter. To bring that message to life, we focused on the story of Gavin Wolfrank, a six year old boy who finally conquered leukemia with the help of Bone Marrow Transplant at City of Hope. He was recently given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet his bone marrow donor. The story was there, it just needed to be shared. At BLITZ, I was tasked with telling Gavin's touching story. This is a project I was truly honored to work on. One where you get out of the way and let the story tell itself. The result is an honest and (hopefully) resonant short film.
